PNC: In identical messages, informs the world parliaments about the violations of Israeli occupation

Palestine National Council (PNC) has informed the parliaments of the world about the latest violations of the rights of the Palestinian people by Israeli occupation, and the Israeli measures to change the geographical and political reality in the occupied territories in favor of its settlement colonial project.
In identical messages sent by PNC Speaker, Mr. Saleem Al-Za’anoon, to the heads of parliaments worldwide, including the heads of international and regional Arab, Islamic, Asian, African, European and other parliamentary unions in Latin America, PNC declared, Israel, the occupying power, is still bent on depriving the Palestinians of their material and moral lives, and depriving them of legitimate rights. and as a result, Impunity and absence of accountability from Israel for its crimes, especially its settlement policy, which means uprooting, displacement and loss of hope, life and sustenance.
In its messages, PNC called to provide international protection for Palestinian people in accordance with the UN General Assembly resolution in 2018, and the relevant Geneva Conventions, in light of the escalation of the policy of demolishing Palestinian homes, displacing the residents and confiscating lands, in implementation of the gradual colonial annexation plan.
PNC urged parliaments to help by including settler organizations such as: "Paying the Price", "The Hills Youth " and "The New Guard" as terrorist organizations, due to their criminal terrorist record in the occupied Palestinian territories.
PNC Speaker, Mr. Saleem Al-Za’anoon, also called for building on the recent message of European representatives, which called on the governments of their countries to work to stop the de facto annexation of Palestinian lands, in order to protect the future of the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy decisions.
He appealed to parliaments and governments to make the necessary efforts to support the Palestinian demands based on international law and resolutions of international legitimacy, to end the Israeli occupation, and to protect UN General Assembly Resolution 67/19 of Nov. 29, 2012, which recognizes the state of Palestine and its capital, Jerusalem, on the borders of June 4, 1967.
PNC messages presented most of the violations, such as demolition operations that affected nearly 220 businesses and properties, most notably what happens in Homsa Al-Fawqa, as well as 63 notices of demolition, uprooting 1,200 trees, and threatening 17,000 Palestinian homes to demolish because there are no building permits obtained by the owners from the occupation administration because of Israeli obstructive measures.
During last February, 66 civilians were wounded with live and metal-coated rubber and sponge bullets, that including children, PNC pointed out, settlers attacked Palestinians 80 times, including killing of three martyrs and wounding 19 civilians with various injuries.
Israel, the occupying Power, and settler groups, bear responsibility for all these continuing crimes, according to the provisions of Articles 1 and 29 of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, PNC affirmed, and that these violations against Palestinians should be stopped immediately, as they are "protected targets." Israeli civilian, military and security leaders also bear criminal responsibility in accordance with the provisions of the relevant international conventions, especially the 1998 International Criminal Court (ICC) regulations, which requires them to be brought to trial and to impose a deterrent punishment against them.
PNC stressed that these crimes do not lapse over the time or obsolescence, and it is the duty of the High States signatories to the Geneva Conventions in August 1949 to take measures to ensure the implementation of the conventions, and to hold the occupying power accountable for its serious breaches, in accordance with the joint Article 1 of the four conventions.

The PNC represents the supreme authority of the Palestinian people in all their places of residence. It sets PLO policies and plans to achieve the goals of the Palestinian people for self-determination, the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and the return of refugees to their homes.After Al-Nakba (catastrophe) of 1948, the Arab Higher Committee for Palestine, headed by Haj Amin Al-Husseini, decided to call for the convening of a Palestine National Council which met in Gaza in 1October 1948, which was the first Palestinian legislative authority to be established in the Arab state of Palestine. The Council then formed an all-Palestine government headed by Hilmi Abdel Baqi, who represented Palestine in the league of Arab States.The first national conference was held inJerusalem on 28May -2June 1964. This first National Council had 422 members, declared the establishment of the PlO, which represents the leadership of the Palestinian Arab people. The most important of which is the Palestinian National Charter, the Statutes of the Organization and others, and Mr. Ahmad Al-Shukairy was elected Chairman of the PlO.
